St. Goerge Golf CLub Ponds from Google Street View

Description:
Another great St. George area golf course.  The main attraction here is one long pond along Bloomington Hills Drive where waterfowl congregate during the winter months.  There is a marshy area along a creek just north of the pond along N Fort Pierce Drive as well.  Otherwise the course is predominantly surrounded by housing.

Birding:
Waterfowl, waterfowl, waterfowl! Large flocks of AMERICAN WIGEON often dominate the waterscape here during the winter.  Various other species of ducks, geese, and other waterbirds have been observed here as well. Notably LEAST TERN, GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE, and GREATER SCAUP have all been reported here.  SWAMP SPARROW has been reported from the marshy area described above as well.

Directions:
From the intersection of S. River Road and East Riverside Drive in St. George, head south for 1 mile. Turn right onto N Fort Pierce Drive for .3 miles before turning left onto Bloomington Hills Dr. It's .2 miles to the middle of the pond.
